Advanced Research Support Facilities (ARSF)

Advanced Research Support Facilities (ASRF) will function under the Centre for Research and Development in The Erode College of Pharmacy. The Purpose of ARSF, using own facilities to help others research projects (consultancy service). The following research work can be done our college through our various specialisation.

1. Department of Pharmaceutics

The Department of Pharmaceutics was established in the year 2004 and followed by the Ph.D Research Centre was started in the year 2008. Department of Pharmaceutics have well equipped Machine room and Research lab deals with formulation, various dosage forms, In vitro evaluation and Stability studies as per ICH Guidelines. The department have advance research support facilities to carryout various consultancy work like follows,

a. Formulation of Tablets, Capsules, Drug delivery system
b. Evaluation of Dissolution Studies
c. Anti-microbial studies
d. Stability Studies-as per the ICH Guidelines
e. Optimization of Pharm. Formulations-Software

2. Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis

The department of Pharmaceutical analysis can carryout following consultancy services,

a. FTIR analysis
b. Method development and validation of drugs by HPLC method
c. UV-Visible Spectrophotometric analysis
d. Digital colorimetric analysis
e. Potentiometric analysis
f. Flame photometric analysis
g. Impurity profiling of raw materials and stability studies
h. Bioanalytical method development for quantifying the drugs and metabolites in biological matrices, such as blood, plasma, urine, and tissues
i. Formulation development to optimize formulation, drug delivery systems, and dosage forms by characterizing drug substances and excipients
j. Pharmacokinetic Analysis studies to evaluate the drugs in humans or animals, including absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion
k. Quality Control methodology development for routine testing of finished drug products and raw materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.

3. Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

4. Department of Pharmacology

The department of Pharmacology can engage in the following research activities,

5. Department of Pharmacognosy

The department of Pharmacognosy can carry-out the following works

6. Department of Pharmacy Practice

Consultancy services provided on statistical analysis and Research methods. The following services provided for research scholars, PhD scholars and faculty of other institutes, universities, hospital sectors and various pharma companies, clinical/contract research organizations.

a. Experimental and non-experimental study design
b. Study protocol design and evaluation for descriptive and inferential studies
c. Sample size estimation and power analysis for the prospective and retrospective/case-control study data
d. Randomization and blinding of the study samples.
e. Providing consultancy for data collection, data entry, data mining.
f. Providing training for the basic software for statistical analysis (SPSS, GraphPad Prism etc.)
g. Providing service of various statistical methods and their implications in the data analysis, plotting and creating appropriate graphs.
h. Providing consultancy for appropriate selection of statistical methods: big data extraction and data analysis, Logistic regression analysis, linear and multivariate analysis, Kaplan-Meier survival analysis.
